PILATES
Pilates for Longevity
Pilates is a full body movement practice that helps build strength, mobility, balance, and body awareness. Guided by Pilates principles such as breath, concentration, control, and precision, Pilates helps to correct and develop coordinated movement, postural awareness, spinal alignment, and muscular imbalances. My goal is to educate how these skills can be integrated into the way you move through everyday life. The BASI approach brings together the art and science of movement, including accessible modifications to serve a wide range of abilities.
Whether you’re working in the studio with Pilates equipment, on the mat, or with props in your living room, each session is designed to help you breathe well, engage your core effectively, improve body awareness, and move with greater strength and ease. We’ll work toward pain-free movement and getting you back to the activities you love.

Pilates Offerings
-
Private pilates sessions offer personalized, one-on-one instruction in a fully equipped pilates studio. Each session meets you where you are, whether you’re new to pilates, returning to movement, or improving athletic performance.
Every session is customized to your individual body, needs, and goals. In a fully equipped studio (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Spine Correctors, Ladder Barrel, and Springboard), Pilates shows us where our imbalances and compensation patterns are, and the goal is to bring your body back to balance. Expect to learn as much as you move: why your body holds the patterns it does, and how to change them. Leave class grounded, energized, and worked but never depleted.

How Pilates saved my life:
Pilates gave me my body back after a car accident 20 years ago. It helped me build strength, improve my posture and alignment, restore trust in my body, and re-pattern my hyper-vigilant nervous system. Most importantly, it gave me back my ability to move pain-free.
Who can benefit from Pilates with me?
My specialized training includes Pilates for injuries and pathologies, Pilates for equestrians, and Pilates for athletes. I work with youth to seniors, and people seeking adaptive pilates, as well as clients navigating chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, menopause, pregnancy and postpartum changes, pre and post-operative exercises.
Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.
Our interpretation of physical fitness is the attainment and maintenance of a uniformly developed body with a sound mind, fully capable of naturally, easily, and satisfactory performing our many and very daily task with spontaneous zest and pleasure.
